Cherry Case Study

Audio Visual Installer

Adept Integrated Systems, 19th June 2010

This new build project was a somewhat challenging 22,000sqft project where the client had devised a clever exit route to retirement in later years. The building had to be designed so that in eventuality the home could be split into 4 duplex apartments where communal services would include a Cinema/Screening Room,  Pool and Gymnasium.

In effect Adept Integrated Systems designed 4 systems for the main residence and separate systems for the Cinema, pool and Gymnasium which initially were all integrated together, but could be separated at a later time.

The project was started for the client in September 2007 and has evolved into the wondrous installation that you see in the images attached.

The brief from the client was clear from the start; a simple system to offer control of lighting, audio and video which enabled access to all of the homes systems via the same simple user interface. On screen displays were used so that the TV’s become the interface integrated with a simple remote of keyboard the system could be access with full feedback of cover art and detailed information.

Integrated technologies featured were Lighting Control, Home Automation, Multi Room Audio and Video, Integrated Security, CCTV and Access Control.

Industry leading products featured were Lighting Control from Lutron Electronics, Home Automation and Control from Control4, Multi Room Audio and Video from Russound and Control4.

The whole house was controlled using Control4 with in wall Touch Screens and a combination of iPad and simple System Remote controllers from offering lighting fast access to all services, and allowing the user to open the gates, view the cameras, select stored movies and music as well as control lighting and security.

Working closely with the interior designer, client and architect on this project the featured the clients existing Bang and Olufsen equipment was integrated within the design of the home whilst accommodating the tastes of the client.

Whatever your requirements Adept have the experience and expertise to deliver. This project gives the client absolute flexibility to access his music and video and control mood via light without having to worry about how and why it works which is just what the family wanted.
